External platforms
A significant part of the analytical or experimental work at IEES-Paris is carried out on external equipment:
- The IRD Alysés platform based in Bondy to which an IEES-Paris agent is assigned, the majority of the personnel of this equipment coming from the LOCEAN research unit.
- The CEREEP-Ecotron of Ile de France, located in the commune of Saint-Pierre lès Nemours south of Fontainebleau, whose Director and Deputy Director are members of IEES-Paris, where work on population dynamics and communities, and the functioning of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
- The PLANAQUA (National Platform for Aquatic Ecology) equipment of excellence, located on the CEREEP site, whose Director is a member of IEES-Paris, where work is being carried out on the dynamics of biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems. Access to CEREEP and PLANAQUA equipment is chargeable and funded by research projects. The departments most concerned are ECOEVO and DCFE.
- CRITEX excellence equipment, Park of innovative equipment for the spatial and temporal study of the critical watershed area, Department of Soils_ZC.
- ORACLE, Environmental research observatory grouping the Orgeval, Grand Morin and Petit Morin watersheds, widely used by Sols_ZC members.
International devices
- Network of watersheds in Southeast Asia (Laos, Vietnam, Thailand) MSEC (MultiScale Environmental Changes), labeled National Observation Service, widely used by the Department of Soils_ZC and to a lesser extent by DCFE;
- Lamto Tropical Ecology Station, historical base of part of the tropical component of the laboratory and its “ancestors” since the early 1960s, which mainly concerns the DCFE Department;
- IRD International Joint Laboratory “Impacts of rapid land use change on soil ecosystem services (LMI LUSES) in Southeast Asia, Department Sols_ZC;
- CNRS international associated laboratory Nutrient cycle in tropical savannas: ecology and applications to the rational management of agro-ecosystems in Côte d’Ivoire (LIA NUTS), DCFE Department;
- Hwange Workshop area in Zimbabwe where ANR projects have been conducted, among others, mainly related to the DCFE Department.
